Bronwyn Melville TCM, P.

After completing an English degree, I spent a year traveling and working before attending the International College of TCM in Vancouver. I completed the program in 2002 and since then I have worked in a variety of capacities My previous practice was with the Westside Midwives at Jericho Village, where I treated a wide spectrum of conditions from pregnancy to allergies, eczema, anxiety, and fertility. I have a practice at Total Therapy in Burnaby as well, where I focus on sports medicine, injuries and pain. My career has spanned various other settings as well. Concurrent with my private practice, I had a contract with the PHS Community Services Society in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver for five years, where I treated patients with various conditions including addictions, injuries, HIV, and mental illness. And, finally, at BC Women’s hospital I worked on a study performing acupuncture on chemically dependant pregnant women. Each setting, each client, each treatment has informed my clinical style and with every new experience my practice flourishes and my knowledge base grows. In addition to acupuncture, I also practice Cranio-Sacral therapy for which I have been trained through the Upledger Institute. Typically I combine the cranial work with acupuncture in the same session. Moving to Yaletown Massage Therapy promises to be a positive and enriching experience and I look forward to meeting you all. As a TCM practitioner communication is the glue that holds my clinical relationships together. No two clients are alike and I look forward to knowing what aspects of the medicine work best for you.
